CPI dropped 0.1% in March after rising 0.2% in February. Over the past 12 months, CPI rose 2.4%, which is lower than analysts’ expectations of 2.6% and 0.4% lower than February’s rate of 2.8%.
Core CPI fell to 2.8% from 3.1% and rose 0.1% for March, which was lower than analysts’ expectations of 3.0% and 0.2%, respectively.
